Re: Best players coming back from a 0-2 set deficit / losing after a 2-0 set lead

Gulbis 2-0
Haas 3-7

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Full update after Davis Cup, but Seppi has come back from 0-2 down for the 4th time.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Donskoy yes, he has only played 2 5 set matches one against Youzhny, the other the comeback against Ward.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Robredo does it for the 4th time coming back from 0-2 down.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

He is equal with Mooray now.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Best players coming back from a 0-2 set deficit / losing after a 2-0 set lead

Wawrinka does it for the 6th time whereas Gasquet loses a 2-0 lead for the 5th time. Almagro lost a 0-2 lead for the 6th time.

One question I ask myself if this:

Why is it that , in a match at a grand slam the player that is 2-0 down in sets and wins the 3rd stands a very good chance of going on to win the match?. What is it about winning that 3rd set that seems to allow the player that was losing to turn around and win? and why do the guys who were 2-0 in sets so often lose the match if they lose the 3rd set?

Its actually more common for the player that wins the 3rd set in that scenario to win come back the match. I find that pretty weird

Also wanted to say that its pretty remarkable that someone as mentally fragile as davy has actually managed to come back from 0-2 down in sets 5 times and only given up that lead twice.

Federer still leads and Robredo is now equal 2nd.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
