On a scale of 1 to Sweetcleo that was one. Sorry but you can only improve

Cowan & Petchey: "Miami by far the slowest hardcourt we have, perhaps the slowest tournament on tour even".

It's incredible how the conditions basically suffocate the ball. Humidity must be crazy.

Re: "Speed up the courts" thread

From what I've seen so far between Ferrer and Tomic, it's the slowest HC match ever on the slowest HC ever. If the weather stays so humid for the entire tourney, I cannot see anyone stopping Nadal from moonballing his ass towards his first Miami title. I don't even want to imagine a match between him and Roger in those conditions. I don't know how Novak's body would handle this type of weather, but I think a remake of last's year final would be nice, but would favor Rafa.

Q. Do you think you would have been able to play as well as you played today, or you think you would have pulled out from the game if it wasn't the Masters Cup final?

ROGER FEDERER: No, Roger Federer doesn't pull out. Otherwise he doesn't walk on court (smiling).

Re: "Speed up the courts" thread

And the sad part is that it's just poor tennis all around. The offensive players can't hit through the court and the grinders are just dumping balls into the net.

Fucking put a lighter ball.

I doubt it. He doesn't play well in the heat and he was sweating like crazy last year, especially in the third set. Djokovic was fine.

Re: "Speed up the courts" thread

Why is Miami a Masters? there should be a grass Masters imo, that would help negate this boring torliament, relegate it to 500 level.

Re: "Speed up the courts" thread

If Miami was 500 level, no one would play it. And rightly so.

Yes, until RN retires. It's good for the plague in tennis to be publicised. Hopefully someone will address it.

A match between Nadal and Federer in these conditions? Think 6-3, 6-2 Nadal. Much like last year's semi-final.

If Federer wins Miami this year he will have played sublime tennis.
