Re: "Speed up the courts" thread

Faster courts, for what? More matches to see Raonic and Isner? That final on sunday was so boring. We have fast courts at the enf of the year, we don't need more.

Re: "Speed up the courts" thread

That's the issue here, we don't have fast courts, anywhere and anytime.

Looks a bit faster than last year but it still a slow HC.

That is slow, not fast at all. But sure, a little bit faster than last year.

Re: "Speed up the courts" thread

tks. for the vid.

from what i see here, there's no difference. wilander is a headcase...

Q. Do you think you would have been able to play as well as you played today, or you think you would have pulled out from the game if it wasn't the Masters Cup final?

ROGER FEDERER: No, Roger Federer doesn't pull out. Otherwise he doesn't walk on court (smiling).

After losing to Nalbandian in 2005 TMC final...

It is difficult to judge because they are not playing at full gear, but there is no doubt that these courts are still to be considered slow.

According to Andy Murray, the courts at Miami play even slower than IW. Mainly due to external conditions (humidity). #SEOpen

Re: "Speed up the courts" thread

The IW>Miami comparison is asked for by journos every year, and players tend to disagree even in the same year - probably because the bounce difference means what is perceived of as fast/slow depends on the players shot trajectories, and/or opponents.

It would be silly to judge a player's form based on a short clip of a practice session...

But Rafa looks downright awful here, by his own standards.

Uncle Toni doesn't need the peasant courts to be slow. Vamos.

Translation. Nobody knows. I've also heard that both events play faster as the tournament goes on.

I stick by my theory.

You heard that because it's a fact, unless you have found another twist on physics that could disprove it. Or maybe try and learn about the process of laying down a court surface.
