When the hell will Djokovic get his grit and determination back?

If ever, that is?

Tomic [tom-ic] [tom-ic-ing]
verb
1. apply yourself for a small period of time before giving up. (I am tomicing this match).
noun
2. play exceedingly well for a month and then give fallacious promises to the world. (He performed a Tomic)

You're expecting us to know?

But no athlete had the year Novak Djokovic had. No athlete was as consistently superb, January through November. No athlete was as complete in all the aspects of his or her game (...) the best on all surfaces: indoors and out, hardcourt, clay, and grass. No athlete, week in and week out, faced the level of competition he did: men’s professional tennis, as gets said at the start of every big televised match—because it’s true—is in a golden age. (...) And while Federer had some year (2006), he accumulated only about half the A.T.P. point total Djokovic just amassed.

I'm starting to get sick of it. Djokovic gets to a GS final and then doesn't even bother to show up.

I sense pain and anger, are we still at stage 1 in the grief process? How lovely. I think you should hit youtube, type in 'Gymnast 2011' and enjoy the 9 month fluke all over again.

Once the tears have subsided, you may begin to realise that Novak is still in the mix for all slams. He has had yet another good year.

Hope my post helps.

A slam and 3 slam finals without grit or determination and being generous to his rivals AKA best friends. Dayam, this Serb is good.

You can't say he didn't show up on Monday, but he fucked up in the 3rd set and Rafa took back the control of the match.

Next year maybe. Losing the #1 may help him.

Re: When the hell will Djokovic get his grit and determination back?

I get the impression Nole is more focused on his "entertainment" career than his "tennis" career.

I'm probably overreacting. He's had a great year, but he seems to be missing something. Or maybe I'm high.

haha this he still obviously has some but no player can be 100% all the time, is what it is

almost making all the GS finals this year is pretty impressive

<3 Roger Federer <3 David Ferrer <3 Juan Martin Del Potro <3 Ernest Gulbis <3

------------------------ <3 Richard Gasquet <3

Rafael Nadal

Re: When the hell will Djokovic get his grit and determination back?

Will Nadal's HC serve ala 2010 ever return? Will Nadal's 2008-2010 Grass play ever return?

Same logic for Djokers HC 2011 season. Players evolve...to become better (whether that is from consistency or experience) or slightly worse overall. You're not the same every year.

Define The Cult of Fedtardism;

"You seriously think Federer fans like myself are just going to stand by and let trolls call Federer's era "weak" and say that his accomplishments don't mean anything? I suppose you are one of those people?"

Re: When the hell will Djokovic get his grit and determination back?

Nole was under the misconception that his 10% level was enough to beat Murray/Rafa. My guess is that he underestimated by 10%.

Re: When the hell will Djokovic get his grit and determination back?

Something has been missing this year - uncharacteristic play even compared to last year, let alone 2011.
