Mariano Puerta def. Carlos Moya 7-6, 1-6, 6-3

Vamos Mariano.

Puerta has now beaten Moya in all three of their most recent meetings.... and I can only see this h2h record improving when they meet again. Moya doesn't seem to enjoy playing the revitalised Puerta at all.

Re: Mariano Puerta def. Carlos Moya 7-6, 1-6, 6-3

Also moya threw away a 5-1 lead in the first set tiebreaker.... a key moment was on the seventh point on Moya's serve when he decided to try a suicidal dropshot from the baseline.

Re: Mariano Puerta def. Carlos Moya 7-6, 1-6, 6-3

I couldn't believe Carlos managed to lose that tiebreak after being 5-1 up. He played a couple of very loose points at that stage.

Puerta was excellent though.

Re: Mariano Puerta def. Carlos Moya 7-6, 1-6, 6-3

Puerta played like a pugilist. he mauled Moya

Q. When you've played as few matches as you have over the last two, three months, did you ever lack motivation to go out and practice?

ANDY RODDICK: Motivation? No. I enjoy what I do. I enjoy what I do. You know, I've never been one to, you know, blow off practice or, you know, do anything like that.

You know, I'd be lying if I said I'm looking forward to practicing the next two days as opposed to playing here. That part is gonna suck...(2010 Aegon Championships)

Aww Carlos. I feel badly for him. I hope he can pull his game together soon. It would help if he wasn't facing Puerta all the time....

King Juan Carlos is back to take the crown!
