Re: indoor clay tournaments

You are on fire today aren't you Devotee.

The World Team Cup has an indoor facility if the weather is crap and Hamburg has a roof.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

It's ridiculous that a useless town like Tunica gets a good tennis tornament.

Hamburg is very close. Even when the roof is open the stadium completely encloses the court. Not a breath of wind gets in unlike MC, Rome and RG.

Madrid MS won't be played at Rockodromo?

I remember Zaragoza (it would be an ATP 250 now) was played on Indoor Clay.

Re: indoor clay tournaments

Does anyone know if indoor clay events were common in past decades? I know that there was a whole clay court season in the fall, which began to scaled down beginning with the 1990s.

'This isn't right. This isn't even wrong'.

'A stupid man's report of what a clever man says can never be accurate, because he unconsciously translates what he hears into something he can understand.'

Re: indoor clay tournaments

I think Madrid will have a roof, as for the old clay events, from memory, they were all outdoor apart from the ones already mentioned.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
