Rafa obviously wasn't tired after Miami, nor hampered by a jetlag to humiliate King Carlos in his home town! Ouch!

17 (yes, yes, yes!) Slams! And counting....

Re: Rafael Nadal def Juan Carlos Ferrero: 6-2 6-1

It's more due to Ferrero's (low) level than to Nadal's.

'The kid's hot, watch out in RG !!

"I asked a bloke in the front row if he liked the serve-and-volley stuff," said Rafter. "He said he did but asked if he was going to get to see any rallies. 'Not today, mate,' I told him."

I feel terribly sorry for JC!!! This really is humiliating for him!!! It's his home town, and he's been beaten by a guy who arrived in Valencia yesterday and probably has a jet lag!!!

It's a combination of both probably. The points and the whole match went so fast, it seemed like there were two Americans playing on hardcourt, rather than two Spaniards playing on clay.
I am curious about the stats here, wether it was Ferrero making the ue's, or Nadal coming up with winners.

Either way he should not lose like that to anyone, let alone on clay.

But we should not be surprised - the real JCF was kidnapped long ago, and was replaced by a shadow of himself

Passengers boarding the Nadal bandwagon express.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

that was CRAPPY, by anyone's standards and thats the whole story

Some people say he's with Ben Laden somewhere in Pakistan...
For Nadal, he could launch a line of pills against jetlag, he would be instant millionaire !!
