Re: Is Roger being...

i'm watching it live and Nadal is playing the better tennis. Roger hit a couple of off shots that may end up costing him the second set. nadal is bludgeoning him -- and it's working.

Q. When you've played as few matches as you have over the last two, three months, did you ever lack motivation to go out and practice?

ANDY RODDICK: Motivation? No. I enjoy what I do. I enjoy what I do. You know, I've never been one to, you know, blow off practice or, you know, do anything like that.

You know, I'd be lying if I said I'm looking forward to practicing the next two days as opposed to playing here. That part is gonna suck...(2010 Aegon Championships)

Looks like the 17 unbeaten run in finals might be coming to an end...The weakness with Roger's game is that he just doesn't have a Sampras or Safin like serve which keeps him in the game if he's being outplayed...

I must say, I am surprised at the current results.

Yeah me too...makes u wonder why other great baseliners like Agassi, - with the power off the ground - doesn't play the same way that Nadal is against Fed.

i'm not. Roger admitted yesterday that Nadal has a winning record against him in both singles and doubles. that is no accident.

and Nadal has won 5-setters before at the AO so even going to 5 is no guarantee of a Federer.

having said that, i still think Federer will win.

Agassi doesn't have Nadal's raw power. not even close. maybe he used to at one point but he no longer does.

Re: Is Roger being...

Rogi has a very negative attitude out there I think... Nadal is pumped and he's making very few UFES... Rogi never should have lose the 2nd set!!

Guga Kuerten

Roger Federer & Novak Djokovic

Agassi isn't comfortable playing with the intense spin that Nadal has. Andre uses just enough spin to make his shots safe, but they are relatively flat. His court positioning, backswing and grips aren't conducive to playing the same type of shot.

Clearly, Nadal is doing things right. Roger is having trouble creating spectacular shots off of Nadal's strokes.

It doesn't look as if Nadal will capitulate. He's just too good.

Re: Is Roger being...

This is just sick, whats up with Federer?

IS he hitting many ues? IS he angry? Is he having problem breaking Nadal's defense?

Safin winner: Aopen 08 Gasquet winner: USopen 08, Aopen 09, RG: 10
Nadal winner: RG 07 Monfils winner: USopen 10
Guga winner: RG 2010
Roddick and Hewitt together winner of: 3 sidney, 4 Adelaide, 3 washington, 3 san jose, 3 indianapolis, 2 houston, 2 memphis, 5 queens and one master series title (where Safin, Agassi, Federer and Nadal happens to all be injured).
