What I think makes Gaston Gaudio such a great player

Even with so many people criticising him, saying that he didn't deserve RG and paying him out for being "mentally weak", Gaston still manages to play at a top 10 level. He won back-back titles already this year, reached the 4th rd of Miami on his least preffered surface, and challenged Andre Agassi for a set on hardcourt. He has earned his stay in the top ten. I can think of a few top ten players who would only dream of these results (I'll leave this one to your imagination!).

Re: What I think makes Gaston Gaudio such a great player

Already have one of those threads somewhere.

The racquet twirling is the best part along with the hair and the shoes.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

The blue socks And seriously - his backhand, his smile and his extremely humble non-arrogant personality.

AJDE SRBIJA

Supporting Djoković, Tipsarević, Soderling, Tursunov, Youzhny, Cilić and quite a few more

I criticize gaston before rolang garros, I accept now, but gaston change so much after rolang garros, I like gaston no only for win rolang garros, also for change his mind, now play better. also admire for his humility, his no arrogant how coria or nalbandian for is top ten.

Re: What I think makes Gaston Gaudio such a great player

What makes Gaudio such a great player? I won't explain it here, as I have already done it in other threads -yes, it's an old topic...And most of what I think has already been stated up above. There's only one thing I can add, as my contribution to that thread. Being who he is (understand whatever you want!), he's always able to unchain such passion around him. That's incredible. And not many players, in my opinion, can equal him on that particular ground!

Best of LUCK to ALL my Faves in 2015

I have much more appreciation for Gaston's temperment since I started playing tennis myself. I get frustrated and tank my service games sometimes Not because I want to, just because my brain stops

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.
