If you could build your own player

out of a pool of current and former tennis players, how would you do it?

Consider 4 different playing surfaces (hard, clay, grass and carpet), and your fav's strongest skills in the following variables:

First Serve

Second Serve

Volleys & Overhead

Forehand groundstrokes

Backhand groundstrokes

Speed and footwork

Mental will and strength

Return of serves

Intangibles (Unusual shots, dropshots, lobs, fear factor, etc...)

Here we go guys:-

First Serve: Peety Sam

Second Serve: Sampy

Volleys & Overhead: Rafter and Sampy/Woodbridge respectively

Forehand groundstrokes: Malisse
Backhand groundstrokes: Hrbaty

Speed and footwork: Hrbaty

Mental will and strength: Hewitt

Return of serves: Hrbaty

Intangibles (Unusual shots, dropshots, lobs, fear factor, etc...): Peety Sam

Dominik Hrbaty? There are probably six alphabets that spell that, and it's legend. Dominik is Dominik and he's a legend in every little town, city and village across the globe.

He doesn't only stand for our sport, but he stands for mankind. His athleticism, him as a person, as a human being, his character, to go out and do things his way, is just fantastic. And that is the charm about Dominik Hrbaty.

I don't think anyone could disagree with that combination. By the way, next time you see him play, Xavier Malisse has the best forehand.
