It was a mini-miracle he even made the sets close here. Even if he had held for 5-3, he'd need to hold once more for the set and needed to break the Raonic serve at least twice (at least) in the third set, fat chance.

Priority is to get fit for USO.

Whose job is it to mediate the match? The player or the umpire? We have an umpire and line judges for a reason, and that is so that the players can simply concentrate on playing their best without having to worry about anything else. This line of thought applies here.

His back from last night's match vs Dodig. His serve suffers the most.

Another top seed out. This is starting to look like last year

Not surprised about Raonic's gamesmanship- as if I need another reason to dislike him.

People here acting as if no other top player has ever 'cheated' before.

Only a few months ago Djokovic was seemingly trying to cheat several times against Dimitrov in Madrid on even bigger points.

Lahyani favoring another local playing in front of his home crowd?

Surprising.

This is tennis, it isn't Milos job to tell the chair umpire he did the right thing being silent. Sometimes, you got to play DIRTY to win LOL! I know nobody in Canada cares, we got two boys in the Canadian Open quarterfinals!!! Go Canada!!!

Re: Montreal R3: Raonic def. Del Potro 7-5 6-4

reminds me of when Roddick didn't admit to that double bounce in the match against Raonic in Miami 2? years ago.

At least people will stop saying he's too nice. lol

You mustn't, but its disgusting. There's a thing called fair play you know.

Also it's not illegal for 90 year old man to date 18 year old but it's also disgusting.

It was umpire job yes, but they are not robots, they can't be right at 100%. That's why he should have stepped up and admit he's done it. Nothing more or less than a FAIR PLAY.

Re: Montreal R3: Raonic def. Del Potro 7-5 6-4

I think the take away is... Del Potro should rest up for US Open. If his back/shoulder is hurting him, then there is no way he can even get past quarters.

Please please please Delpo, rest.

If you have an issue with a report/infraction, a user, a moderator or just want to talk, PM me.

I support Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, David Ferrer, Del Potro.

Why? Because I love tennis plain and simple
