he's definitely got top 100 potential, he always has its just been motivation that's been the issue
Hah, if you go by just one set, there is nothing more to say, which wasn't a good potrion.

His level can vary a lot from one match to another and he has plenty of extremely uninspiring matches but he certainly has the potential to be top 100.

Evidently not seeing as he lost 2 sets to 1. If it was 1 and 3/4 as you say the scoreline with respects to number of sets won would have been reversed

I don't see it, has a very flat game, serve needs tons of work, doesn't really have a decent weapon, not like a great mover, mentally he's got work to do, I just don't see it, not much there.

Are you an esteemed tennis analyst or something?

It's clear you've seen Evans once or twice and tried to make a judgement from that. The guy is one of the most mercurial players in the world, so it's better to watch him for an extended period of time before judging.

The bottom line is, he sorts his attitude problems out for good, he's a solid top 100 player. If he improves his game, then maybe we can talk about pushing towards the top 50.

I disagree. There have been plenty of players like him that have gotten into the top 100. He's not going to go high in there, but I reckon he could be in the lower 80-100 region at some point for a while.

Dan has shown time and time again that he is good enough to play against top 100 players. His problem has always been consistency and motivation, especially when playing "lesser" players and by his own admission hasn't worked hard enough on his game or been really committed to making the most of his talents. If he has really turned the corner and genuinely wants to make the most of his career he will easily make the top 150 and I am confident he will make the top 100. I can understand that some people will have seen him play badly a few times and wonder why some of us hype him but he really does have a lot of talent and will do well if he gets his head sorted.

Not really, the only top 100 player he has beaten in his career was Donskoy this past week.

That's the problem with most CH level players and why they stay CH level, that's what I said in my last post.
