WWW: Montreal R1: (WC)Pospisil v. Isner

IIRC their H2H is 1 a piece.

Vasek beat Seppi here last year, he can beat Isner if his game is on. Both players still playing this week. Isner in Washington, Vasek in Vancouver where he hasn't gottn his round 2 match done yet, fatigue could be a factor.

Re: WWW: Montreal R1: (WC)Pospisil v. Isner

In the win vasek has over him it came at a time when john was coming back from a while off and hadn't had a ton of practice before hand. John seems to be playing well this summer so I go with him in 2 tight sets, maybe 3

Isner will probably withdraw from Montreal.

he's defending SF points so I doubt it. Just because he's playing this weekend doesn't mean he'll withdraw. Dog won Washington last year and played Toronto. The surface suits Isner. It's not like Monaco where he's playing the Kitz final and clay suits him while hard doesn't

Re: WWW: Montreal R1: (WC)Pospisil v. Isner

A must-win for North America's No.2 prospect.

Isner is in good form lately, but he really is only a serve and a forehand.

If Pospisil can get it to a tiebreak, I believe he can use the crowd to carry him to a victory

Isner seems to be playing quite well this summer ( specially compared to how bad he was playing early in the year), and I think he takes this in two tight sets.

I will vote when we know weekend results ... If pops has to play 2 matches today, and one tmrw, and then fly back on a red-eye sun night from van, this is going to be tough for him against Isner who is playing better recently

Re: WWW: Montreal R1: (WC)Pospisil v. Isner

Hey poll closed before match started :-(

Anyways, my head says Isner in 3 (and what I would have voted) ... but Vashy has a real chance here. He's going to be even more tired than Isner, but what better opponent choice than big John when u r tired ... not like he is going to see 4+ shot rallies.

Hoping Vashy can steal a couple tiebreaks here.
