my sentiments entirely. they always seemed so perfect with one another. i think guga might be getting desperate, there's nothing a coach can do about injuries though

Re: Guga and Larri Split!

Re: Guga and Larri Split!

From the rough translation with google. It's Guga making the decision for the split and he tries to play without a coach for the time being. He wants to try a different experience. Larri responds that Guga is mature enough to make the decisions himself. Larri will look at new offers but he will look after his tennis school and project now.

14/03/2005 - 18h04 Guga announces end of the partnership of 15 years with Larri Steps Of the Writing In São Paulo the tenista Gustavo Kuerten announced in this monday the end of the partnership with the Larri technician Steps, that follow it since the beginning of the career. In official note divulged by its assessorship of the press, the player justifies the decision as a "will to have a different experience". "They had been 15 years of many conquests in the circuit and alone I have to be thankful for having had the Larri to my side. But after all this time, I felt the will to have a different experience and to travel without technician ", said Guga in the official note. To the side of Larri, Guga gained 20 headings in the international circuit, between them the tricampeonato of Roland Garros and the Pantry of the World, in Lisbon. The Brazilian also led ranking of the ATP (Association of the Tenistas Professional) per 43 weeks. "With certainty in the start I go to very feel the lack of the Larri, goes to be a new thing. But exactly not having it to my side in the day the day, everything what I to make I go to have the hand of the Larri, therefore was it who discovered me and it made me player. E although not terms plus a professional relationship, the affection and the friendship go to always exist, because the Larri is as a father for me. It takes that people continue to have success, each one in its way ", said Guga. "They had been 15 years wonderful together. For me the tennis is a religion and goes to continue working with competitive tennis. I accepted the decision of the Guga and find that it is mature to follow the proper way ", completed Larri. Current number 86 of the world, Guga continues a process of recovery of the surgery suffered in the hip in the last year. The tenista will come back to play in the Match of Valence, Spain, the month that comes.

In the other thread about this, it says Guga wants to go it alone . I love the guy, but Guga just ain't Federer. I don't think it's a good idea.

Re: Guga and Larri Split!

Thanks, Lee and Billabong

"Pantry of the World, in Lisbon"

So, basically, it is still not clear why tenista Guga decided to split up.
