That was a pretty good match, unlucky to Mayer but very entertaining though!

Ugly stuff from both. Mayer would have won if he'd played as well as he did yesterday. Fognini or Almagro could easily beat Federer if they play a decent match with him at this level.

Even all of Mayer's lucky loose shots miraculously landing on the baseline couldn't save him.

GOAT adjusting to new racket still defeats 200% Mayer...

Sad day to be a hater!

Fed plays the worst match of the year but def mayer on 200%, i'll take it for sure. Fed made a great couple of games in the end.

Before people will start to write how bad Fed is if he loses set to Mayer, I would like to give some credit to Flo. He was great, I felt before match that this can be close.

Gasquet is next №1

Was Fed trolling to 5-5 in the 3rd? Because from there on he didn't make one single mistake. Winner after winner. Also Sweaterer in the 2nd

The game bores me now

Great fight but awful level.

Can only hope he improves it for the next match.

Lol at the haters coming out of their holes after Roger lost the 2nd set. Some retreated to the their lair after Roger broke early in the third some stayed and complained of Roger's luck at the end. Either way highly entertaining stuff, kind of compensates for the mug match.

Not sure about Fed's back after that....walking very stiffly at back of the court, grimacing....rolling serves in at the end. Didn't look a happy bunny.

Fun match though....though Flo did well.

Fed needs more adjustments to the racket, but this match brought only positives. He needs these close wins to regain confidence.
