Uncertainty Lies Within Rusedski

Source: Eurosport

Britain's No. 2 Greg Rusedski underwent foot injury in October to repair his Achilles tendon. The surgery was a complete success but Rusedski is now fighting to stay fit. For the moment his future is uncertain and he has finished his player-coach relation with Sven Groeneveld

This is the second time that Groeneveld has been told that his services were no longer needed. The pair also worked together between 1998 and 2000.

The 29-year-old British star is yet to return to training but has already set a return date, December 31 in Doha. It is believed that he is very reluctant to employ a full-time coach for next season.

Rusedski will be playing at the Australian Open and will then join the British Davis Cup team for their first round tie against Australia.

But a quick return can jeopardize his career once again. Rusedksi suffered a similar injury in 1999 and was sidelined for two moths. He later admitted he had return a bit too soon and wasn't able to fully recover until moths later.

Rusedski turned pro in 1991 and has 12 titles under his belt but he still has to win his first major. At 29 his career might be reaching its end and a early return to action may jeopardize his chances of realizing his dream, to win Wimbledon.

Don't hurry to return Greg, think about your health

But if you decide to play, stay away from all full-time coaches. Just as Marat does

Well, Pete IS a step slower than he used to be. That wasn't a lie.

What was embarrasing, is that a step slower or not, Greg STILL couldn't beat him (nor could Roddick, Schalken, Haas, or Agassi either).

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

to Rusedski's credit, he did give Sampras his most difficult match in the tournament, and I actually think Greg was outplaying Pete during large stretches of the match, eventually losing it over bad luck, bad calls and Sampras's fierce desire...

Well I think Greg lost because he doesn't have IT in him... sadly.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.
