Roger Federer Confirms New Racquet, Hes Gone From 90 To A 98 Head Size NEW ERA??

Finally it seems that the GOAT has decided it was time for change. A big one in fact. Going from a 90" to a 98".
What you guys think???
Will it be a new era or it will not have any effect on his decline?

Re: Roger Federer Confirms New Racquet, Hes Gone From 90 To A 98 Head Size NEW ERA??

anyway, Roger is getting old.

sad.

Nadal "Sampras, Ivanisevic match. or one between those kind of players, is not enjoyable. It's not really tennis. it is a few swings of the racquet. For me in the past it was just serve. serve". arrogance.

clay excluded. successive win 0. If grass and a hard are fast. Like Sampras era. Nadal is able to win only with clay. power of defense and muscles. boring ugly. All the surface is slow now.

fake time-out. cheat. gamesmanship. too noisy annoying always. excuse. boycotts threatened. always dissatisfaction cry complaints. dissatisfaction to schedule. selfish two-year ranking. bump to player. ugly protest. always exaggerated appeal of self condition. etc. overrated by fanatic arrogant blind fan

To 98? That's a big change...but if there's one player that can manage it, it's Roger Federer.

What is he trying to accomplish with that change?

I don't like Nadal.

Re: Roger Federer Confirms New Racquet, Hes Gone From 90 To A 98 Head Size NEW ERA??

Shocking.

However, it is possible it may backfire.

Sampras after losing to Bastl messed around with a number of racquets before going back to the Pro Staff 85 and winning the USO

We will see how these 2 weeks go, he may end up going back to the 90 if the 98 isn't a good fit.

That's the link for those who are curious. From pictures, it looks like a blade 98 with 16X19 string pattern

I wouldn't have thought it will make a huge difference but there might be a placebo effect, if it gives him confidence then that's good for the tour. Not that I would suggest confidence is the main problem.
