The "One to watch" jinx starts fading...

We all know one of the most powerful dark spells in our current scientific world: the "One to watch" enchantment from Atptennis.com.

It was common knowledge that the player who was cast that curse on was not going to do anything interesting for one or two weeks. So whenever you saw the premonitory sign next to some player’s pic at the bottom of the page, you knew it wasn’t smart to put money or cheer on this guy for a while. First or second round at most.

But the power from that sinister site is disappearing, as may be inferred from the three impressive Ljubo’s wins this week and Nadal’s nice performance in Acapulco.

Could it mean that this time Ancic will do through the finals in IW, or by the contrary atptennis.com was just having a break from long years of tough magic with the result that Mario is just doomed?. I’m afraid some of the latter…

I don't know about the magic or the curse, but it's good to see those players perform at the level of expectation. Let's see what Mario will do at IW.
