WWW ? Wimbledon QF : Del Potro - Ferrer

A must-win match for Del Potro.

He's a talented shotmaker with a big serve unlike Vulture who relies on his defence and stamina.

Not to mention that grunting has become one of his major weapons these days, too.

Although injured a bit, Delpo should still take it and prove that he's finally "back".

Vulture's been pretty lucky so far as his opponents choked big time but Delpo is not one of those kinda guys.

Delpo to end this nonsense joke in 4.

David knows exactly what to do and he won't fail. Might even get his first straight sets win of the tournament here.

Ferrer is no longer a weaponless pusher since grunting has become one of his major weapons, is he?

I like them both, but I think Del Potro would be more of a threat against Djokovic.

Good to see the real thread starter at the top of the page

Ferrer is a bad old match-up for Delpo though. Be tough, but mentally Delpo is miles ahead so he could defy that disadvantage.

Re: WWW ? Wimbledon QF : Del Potro - Ferrer

Ferrer is a horrible matchup for Del Potro, but Del Potro has been playing much better this tournament and has been improving on the grass. It'll be a close one. Del Potro will lose his first set of the tournament, but will win in 4 close sets.

I hope Del Grasstro shows up and takes this one in straights.

8th day of July 2012: 7-time Wimbledon champion!

Once upon a time there was a myth about strong and weak eras. On this glorious day the clownery was eventually unmasked: 30 y.o. past-prime daddy Fed became #1 once again in the supposed strong "Spartan" era with his rivals at their peak.
And they all lived happily ever after.
Long live King Federer!

Well, if Ferru was healthy, I would say he'd win in straights as usual. But Del Potro might take advantage of his injury and vulture this.

Ferrer in 3

We saw David crush Del Potro at Wimbledon last year and now that Del Po has this knee injury the result is NID.
