If he ends up with that total and Rafa stays at where he's at in GSs and weeks at nr.1, then it would mean that Djokovic would pass Nadal on the "All-time greats" -list.
It could happen this year. No Federer left in the draw, the last man to beat him at Wimbledon. I think Murray will have too much pressure in the final.
you guys are smoking something or have just become tennis fans if you truly to do not recognize and understand how hard it is to win as many slams in the second half of your career as first, and beyond that, also delusional if you to do not accept how hard it generally is to win a slam, although occasionally someone will take a slam with an incredibly fluke easy draw
you say it like it's an easy thing "oh yeah Djokovic will win 6 more" but it's anything but easy
he won one last year. if he doesn't win a two slams this season, you all will be delusional with your predictions
frankly I can't believe the vast collection of posts on this thread, that this many people would realistically think that Djokovic will not decline at all and/or that other players won't step up? you all are dreaming
all players have a fall, and with his playing style Novak is definitely not a candidate for not being likely to get injury
How can you possibly speak about winning 6 more slams by any player at any time as if it were a certainty? Let's see how healthy Novak is in 2 years for one thing.
Do you honestly think anyone apart big 4 can win anything in next 3-4 years? If Nadal is done outside of clay and Federer isn't getting any younger then Novak and Andy will split most of it between them. I'm not saying he will get to 12 slams but it's far from impossible.
And since you seem to be a fan of Roy Emerson, can you tell me more about him? How come he's not talked about often despite his majors tally? I mean you hear about Laver, Rosewall, Gonzalez etc. but you hardly ever hear about Roy Emerson. I wonder why.
None of the players in Open Era managed to win at least twice every Slam. Don't think Novak will be the first to do it with 1 W, 1 USO and 0 RG, so far.
I'm sure Djokovic will win some more slams but there's Murray and Nadal stopping him form winning a lot of them. On clay, Nadal wins. On grass Murray should win more often than not. On hardcourt both Nadal and Murray can stop him, more so Murray. Federer can never be forgotten and there are players who can snatch slams (Tsonga, Berdych, Ferrer etc.)
That said, I don't know. We'll have to wait and see. I have a hard time seeing Djokovic with 12 slams though.
ok guys it was obviously a typo/error. The point is, even at the AO, Nadal almost won it the last time. Also, he won Indian Wells this year beating 3 great hardcourt players. And he also won the French Open again. So stop with the nonsense that he will stop at 12 slams, it's highly unlikely. He freaking won 7 tournaments this year, he's far from done. This Wimbledon has been a mess for most top players, so let's not exagerate its meaning.
