He needs another 6 months rest.

Murray and Djoker waiting to make him run in HC.

I think probably he won't rest and it will seal his career.

2009 injured, 2012 injured, the next injury happen in 2015 he will not come back anymore.

His Top-10 W/L record by surface:
hard outdoors 28-29
clay 65-7
grass 8-3
hard/carpet indoors 10-13

It looks great, but is just 11 matches so not much to tell about his grass skills, i think he can play on grass his movement is great, he can slice- both serve and groundstroke, but his records are great thanks to other factors - like Wimby 2nd week best of 5 match on slow grass vs top guys.

I say letīs Roger play Rafa in Halle or Queens R1 on fresh grass and Rafa wonīt win signle match from 10. Thatīs guy with match-up disadvantage, letīs Rafa take on Tsonga, Gulbis on fresh grass best of 3 match he wonīt stand a chance.

Joke to see a 2 times hard court slam winner losing H2H on outdoor HC against top 10 guys. How lucky this dull is!!
A bigger joke to see a 2 times Wimbledon champion struggling so much on fresh grass.

No it's still his 2nd best surface. He is just really bad on it.

I agree that Nadal is very prone to early round upsets on grass and that's why his Top-10 record on the surface may be misleading. It will be interesting to see what his Wimbledon strategy is gonna be in the future.

Well, starting from 2015 with the one week extra of grass court tennis he will have more options.I guess he will take a week break after the French, play a tournament in the second week and pratice in London in the third week.
Now,just like in the previous years it`s always tough for the guys who play the finals at the French to have a good preparation for Wimbledon. They either skip Halle/Queens or go tired there and lose early. And playing in the second week(Hertogenbosch or Eastbourne) isn`t an option either.
So for Nadal, what happened this year was similar to every other year with the difference that he got through playing badly in 5 sets against the likes of Kendrick, Haase,Petschner.

Big tennis Tv watcher since early 90`s

Joke alone is he is 2x Wimby champion, because with big hitters, big servers in early rounds he would loose every Wimbledon in last years, he just benefited from being high seeded somehow won easily or in 5th sets vs lower ranked gyus when grass was fast and than went far playing baseliners in laters stages when grass was destroyed

Anybody can play well on HC it is major surface and i still am saying Rafa isnīt such great on HC, he is great at slams and best of 5, but indoors and on faster summer HC tournaments good HC-players -like most top 10 can beat him for sure.I mea if you look at top 10 and put Rafa indoors or on faster HC he is favorit just vs Ferrer, maybe Gasquet - that guy is 20metres behind baseline so he canīt beat Rafa, but Federer, Murray, Nole and even Wawrinka or Berdych should be beating him on fast cours - Berdych if not being RAfaīs biggest fan and having such H2H should be destryoing him indoors and courts like Cincinnati

Which grass? The one used yesterday, sure, probably worse than indoors. The one during SF/final, his best outside of clay.

Actual cannibal

indoor hard. Worst match winning % there and love the 9-10 match record in the WTF.

Hope he plays there this year.

Re: Is it safe to say now that grass is Nadal's worst surface?

I think he'll do better on the outdoor fast HC (USO swing) than most people think.

It's not really the speed, but the height of the bounce that troubles Nadal. Sad to say, the guy probably just can't bend his knees low enough anymore.

One-handed backhandGA!
