Andy's best chance ever to win Wimbledon

He won the gold medal last year, and then the U.S. Open. Rafael, who he's barely even won a set against is gone. Novak on fire or a huge choke against Jo or Federer. He's got his best shot ever to take the title.

As good a shot as last year and we know how the final went.

I say it's 50-50 for a possible semis between the 7 time champion and the 1 time finalist.

Who knows? it's still too early in the tournament. We'll have a better idea before QF I think. If Fed plays like he played last year I give him a very slight edge over both Nole and Muzza. but sure Murray is one of the favorites. I wouldn't say 'best chances ever' though.

Re: Andy's best chance ever to win Wimbledon

why do you say he has any chance more than in the past?

he still has Roger as a potential SF and dangerous Tsonga QF

<3 Roger Federer <3 David Ferrer <3 Juan Martin Del Potro <3 Ernest Gulbis <3

------------------------ <3 Richard Gasquet <3

Rafael Nadal

Roger isn't playing as well in general this year as he was last year ergo on paper, it's a better chance than last year, but that's not taking into account him raising his level and fighting like a champ when Rafito has bombed out, something he's been superb at over the years. As for Jo, the only way he's beating Andy here is if he finds his way out of the mental hex he's had over him.

Now Nadal is gone I make it very tight between the three, but Djokovic's favourite status has actually suffered, cause he'd have loved Rafito over the other two in the final. All day long.

Fixed.

If it's purely physical and you're watching someone playing six-hour matches over and over and showing no signs of being tired, you'd look at that. - Andrew Barron Murray OBE

Is there a hurricane forecast that I'm not aware of?

He beat Federer the last two times he played him in five sets. He's played Jo, nine times and lost twice. I do think for him, or anybody to beat Novak it's gonna take something huge but Andy has a good as shot as anybody.

Re: Andy's best chance ever to win Wimbledon

Fed was not even playing all that well last year when he beat Djoko and Muzz. If Fed's on, well, you'll see.

If Fed wins this Wimbledon, gugatard will probably explode .

When the roof closed, I've not seen Federer play that well since nor for a considerable period beforehand. I remember being impressed by his performance against Nadal at Indian Wells.

Every time I watch him play, I'm surprised by the amount of power he has lost. He used to bang forehand winners from absolutely anywhere on the court.

Your beloved Rog said he played one of the best games of his life against Murray in the final last year.
