He started ok, played better as the match went on, no significant walkabouts- all I can hope for in a 1st round

Mr Darcy match overshadowed this one, so I missed the second set and start of the third.

Bit sloppy in the first, could've gone up a double break but didn't and then got broken. Got back on track with a good return game.

Pretty impassive - a couple of extra sips of water at the change of ends.

The only interesting thing about the Murray match was seeing dat ass bent over for a good 10-15 seconds when the match was over as he was gathering his things to walk off court. Other than that, meh; routine!!

NID, Murray was solid with flashes of inspiration. No doubt he wants it this year!

It was an expected result. Andy played well and Becker was never going to be a threat. A thread isn't really necessary after such an expected victory.

Re: No one cares? Wimbledon R1: Andy Murray def. Benjamin Becker 6-4 6-3 6-2

Becker is nowhere near what he used to be, serve and forehand have diminished greatly, backhand was never really good. He really couldn't trouble Murray, who was just defending solidly..very boring match tbh. So with the Nadal upset, it is understandable that noone got too excited about this routine win.

The first round of any major is a potential banana skin - just ask Rafa! Murray played ok and his fitness looks good, but he'll still have to improve if he's to beat Djokovic in the final.

Two things have to improve - first serve % and his ground strokes have to be lower over the net than what was happening yesterday, as a better player would have caused him more problems.
