Not sure if Nadal is the goat
But I never thought Federer is any one close to it. Have you ever call a guy best player when he lose to someone 20 times and feel he may have lower and lower chance in the next battle?

Stakhovsky,Delbonis,Gulbis,Nishikori,Kyrgios,Monfi ls,Cilic,Seppi more and more people are not afraid of Federer the "paper tiger".
03-07 is the weakest era for tennis

The one who lose to rafa 9 times and Novak 8 times in grand slam is the goat
Wilander: Federer played during the weakest era ever.
John McEnroe: Rafael Nadal is the best ever, even with a first-round Wimbledon loss
Agassi: Rafael Nadal as the best player in the history of tennis, ahead of Roger Federer.
Pete Sampras: Rafael Nadal Can Pass Federer and become the GOAT

It's a common thing when one player declines rapidly because of age and the second being in his peak or near-peak form.

What a stupid thread. It's beyond me why the OP created it - just to stir shit up I suppose.

The point of winning a Slam is not to win a single match against your greatest opponent, but to beat 7 guys on your path to the trophy. Nadal couldn't do it, Fed could (beating in the final the same guy who overpowered Nadal), so he was clearly better at RG 2009 and deserved the win. Just as Nadal deserved RG 2010, when he also had to beat Soderling in the final.

That argument holds any water only in a scenario where there is no monopoly of a certain player over a grandslam. Funny you bring up 2010 as if there was someone who could beat Nadal at RG injured and sitting outside restlessly.

In some people's twisted views, Roger has 2 Slams since he only beat Rafa twice to win them.

Not even 2 slams as Rafa was baby at the time playing as part-timer taking time off from breast feeding of his mother

No it isn't. The some people you refer to only take issue with the excessive gloating about the inflated weeks at #1 and inflated slam count, both achieved in a field without an all time great in it. Still good achievements but not as huge as you guys project it.

Re: ~~ GOAT discussions ~~ Vol. 2

Who knows who would have become an all-time great from 2003-2007 if not for Roger. Roddick and Hewitt would likely have 5+ Slams each.

which all time great did Nadal beat on Clay to win his 8 RGS ??

Federer who has one Clay slam (you know the one he didn't deserve as you claim !!) ??

Nadal has 12 Slams because he didn't have to play against an alltime great.

Re: ~~ GOAT discussions ~~ Vol. 2

Some Rafa fans/tards are beyond delusional. They twist facts to serve their own agenda. Nadal is NOT and never will be the greatest at anything except clay. When I hear some of Rafa fans claiming he is the GOAT, most rational people can only laugh. I'm pretty neutral here as I'm not a fan of either of them. Federer is, by far, the most successful player in tennis history. Anyone claiming anything different is simply silly/stupid and delusional.

Using that h2h with Fed is getting old and boring. It's also not Fed's fault that Nadal wasn't able to get to the latest rounds of HC slams to actually meet Fed. Nowadays, it's irrelevant as Roger is getting older and Nadal is still in his prime.
