He is not yet the clay court player Federer was and obviously will never be the clay court player Nadal is, but if he avoids injuries then he will be top 5 ATG and has the ability to be the greatest ever.

The greatest ever with just 6 slams and close to 26 years old? LOL.

The most important shot in today's game is the moonball, therefore Nadal is the more complete player.

Madrid/Rome Nole/Rafa

as much as I don't like these prediction threads... Are we stuck with 2 of them playing every final during the clay season? Are you happy, are you getting bored, are you excited? Do you see anybody spoiling the party? Who?

Re: Madrid/Rome Nole/Rafa

I'm enlivened to see how this will unfold. People will most likely toss the words "predictable" and "unsurprising" around, but their encounter at Monte Carlo was borderline entertaining, diverting tennis. I'm sure their next meeting on clay will be even more endearing since there is a meaningful narrative at play. That being, Djokovic doing the seemingly impossible - defeating Nadal at Monte Carlo. So yes, I am thrilled for Madrid and Rome. I am hoping to see both Ferrer and Wawrinka cause some alarm, too. And you also just have no idea with Federer.

Tomic [tom-ic] [tom-ic-ing]
verb
1. apply yourself for a small period of time before giving up. (I am tomicing this match).
noun
2. play exceedingly well for a month and then give fallacious promises to the world. (He performed a Tomic)

Federer can beat Djokovic on clay; small chance against nadal. I see Murray with a small chance against both of them.

Any big hitter who got hot could do damage as well. Probably going to see a lot of Djokovic/Nadal this clay season and I don't think that's a bad thing.

Re: Endless Djokovic-Nadal debates. Who will win more Slams/ the 2013 clay season?

If Nole can end up within 2 slams of rafa
Have won all 9 masters and 4 slams
Have a superior h2h against nadal and federer
Then he goes ahead of nadal on the goat list

1. Federer
2. Gonzales
3sampras
4. Nadal

If Nole (somehow) can do all that and win 15 slams, then he's probably goat

God is Love. To know Love is to know God. So ask yourself if you hold any hate for another in your heart how can you have room for Love, room for God

Re: Endless Djokovic-Nadal debates. Who will win more Slams/ the 2013 clay season?

Why does Rafa look a bit more fat and slower ? I noticed in QF against Grigor a fear in his eyes as if he did not expect such a fight from Dimitrov on clay. Maybe he saw Dimitrov with the same style as Fed and thought this young guy would chase him as he did Fed eight years ago. Something happened to Rafa in this QF. I am afraid if Rafa does not win FO he could retire.

"Why you should want to see Rafa vs Nole in RG QF"

"If Nadal and Djokovic were drawn into the same quarter, all of the players on the other side of the draw would throw a party. There would be a good chance for a shock finalist.Federer and Murray, after all, can't be considered locks..."

An interesting view of a very hot topic:

Nadal - Djokovic should be the semi final.

1v8
4v5

2-7
3-6

Should be the quarter final draws. Always.
