Thumbs up Guga thinks he will play Wimbledon 2003

After skipping the British Slam for the past two years, Gustavo Kuerten has declared to the Brazilian Media today about his intentions of playing Wimbledon next year. Guga, who is in Sao Paulo to play in an amicable Davis-Cup format Challenge against Argentina, said that he will favour the Slams, Masters Series and clay season tournaments in 2003, and that his aim is to reach top 10 in the ATP rankings...

With each passing season, I discover new reason
SAMPRAS --> Rios --> KUERTEN --> Kafelnikov -->
Federer --> Hewitt --> RODDICK --> GONZALEZ -->
NALBANDIAN --> Benneteau --> Davydenko --> Mathieu -->
TURSUNOV --> Mantilla --> KIEFER --> NADAL -->
Karlovic --> Odesnik --> Stepanek --> Monfils -->

Oliver Cromwell lay buried and dead. Hee-haw. Buried and dead.

Im curious to see how he could play there.
The last time he was in Wimbledon was 1999, and since then his game is LOADS more complete.
I still think the surface is not good for his game (Doh) especially for the low bounce of the ball. Guga has two major problems: Bending his knees on quick moves, and Running to his right side.
The first one is a big flaw for grass play.
But you never know with Guga. Just three years ago, people used to say he would never win shit if not on clay.

wooden jesus, can i be saved? i spent all my money on a future grave.. ill cut you in on 20% of my future sins..

Great decision. Not good to miss a slam!

Guga definitely wants to get back to top 5 and aiming at #1 in ranking. He even plans to play some warm-up tourny before AO.

That's good for Guga, I hope he can make a good performance, and in that way he could shut up the mouths of all the people that says that after all still being just a "dirtyballer player"(that means that he can only play in clay), and that's not truth.
So.....good for Guga!

Aren't all love stories destined to fail?

Boiled Egg is right. if Guga wins RG, he will need the rest before the USO. grass just ain't worth it. don't inhale unless you really have to i say...

Q. When you've played as few matches as you have over the last two, three months, did you ever lack motivation to go out and practice?

ANDY RODDICK: Motivation? No. I enjoy what I do. I enjoy what I do. You know, I've never been one to, you know, blow off practice or, you know, do anything like that.

You know, I'd be lying if I said I'm looking forward to practicing the next two days as opposed to playing here. That part is gonna suck...(2010 Aegon Championships)
