Are you serious? Ferrer has beaten Djokovic on clay several times and pushed Nadal hard, beaten Almagro and all the clay court specialists handily as well as Murray.

Ferrer is EASILY the top 5 on clay. Simon was never close on clay even when he was 6 in the world.

How many times have you seen Simon in the semis or finals of a Masters on clay?

Thanks.

Re: WWW RG QF: Jo-Wilfried Tsonga vs. Roger Federer

In their recent form, Tsonga is better. I'd say Clayga 2.0 CONM* in 4 sets.

*Jo seems to be Chevalier de l'ordre national du mérite (CONM), not Chevalier de la légion d'honneur (CLH)

Re: WWW RG QF: Jo-Wilfried Tsonga vs. Roger Federer

Ferrer has beaten Djokovic twice on clay in 04, 07, and 09 when Nole wasn't the player he is now on that surface. That he beats guys like Almagro is not surprising because he is just a better overall player.

Simon is better on hard but today in isolation, he hit the ball much harder than he usually does.

Honestly, i'll be shocked if Fed wins this match. Tsonga looks by far better at the moment

Funny how Fed's haters always whining about Fed's draw but again he gets the hardest possible opponent in QF. The similar situation is happening in 80% of the cases . One more thing, when was happened the last time that guy who could cause problems to Fed doesn't get to the match with Fed ?

Form doesn't matter. Tsonga won't be playing a guy like Troicki and Federer won't be playing a guy like Simon. It will be hard-hitting, no counter-punching, big serving, net-attacking, and flair-providing.

You're making no sense. You said the only player Ferrer beats is Murray.

But he has beaten Djokovic 3-1 on clay with one tight 3 set loss in Djokovic's best season. Ferrer pushes Nadal hard, beats Murray and Del Po regularly and cleans up with anyone else on clay and yet you don't think he's better equipped for the surface than Simon?

Seriously?

Ferrer loses to Nadal on clay. Check out to whom Simon loses more often than not.

You forget that Nadal and Djokovic have not arrived to the quarterfinals yet, Haas and Wawrinka may be much more impressive tomorrow than Tsonga. As to your question, do the words "horror draw" ring a bell to you? Of course not, fedtards ignore the truth and the facts, they just repeat lies, you say a lie 1,000 times and some people who are forgetful or lazy will believe you, right?

You're really playing bait and switch.

I wrote: "Check out the tournaments Simon has won on clay. He never beat ANY of the big guys on clay but he has on hard court."

You replied: "Ferrer has only beaten Murray on clay yet he is a tremendous clay courter."

So CLEARLY you are implying that Simon is a tremendous clay courter even though he too fails to beat or even meet usually the big guys on clay just like Ferrer fails to (as you incorrectly asserted).

I'm pretty sure nobody thinks Haas and Wawrinka/Gasquet will be better than Tsonga in the QF.

I didn't say Simon was a tremendous clay courter. Don't put words in my mouth.

I said Ferrer never beat any of the big guys on clay except Murray and I should have said recently, since his last win came against Djokovic in DC in 09.
