What Does Andy Roddick Have To Do In Paris To Qualify For Shanghai?

I think he has to win the title...but are there other circumstances. I mean does someone else have to lose in the semis, etc. Can anyone help me figure out who/how the last 2 spots can be clinched.

Tipsarevic. Nadal. Gasquet.
Sprem. Lisicki. Ivanovic.

Moya took a giant leap and has more or less clinched his berth with his win over Agassi today.

Roddick will have to get to the final to qualify, and that's going to be a rough road--Paradorn, then either Hewitt or Federer.

The last spot is now more or less between Roddick & Jiri Novak.

So, a final for ARod is enough. Cool.

Tipsarevic. Nadal. Gasquet.
Sprem. Lisicki. Ivanovic.

Carlos is there. Officially.
Roddick is battling with Jiri.
Right now, Jiri has 447 points, Andy has 409.
Therefor, Roddick has to reach the final.
He would have 454 points if that happens.
Carlos has 466 now, so he is already over Jiri.

Moya Bounces Agassi, Grabs Shanghai Slot
Carlos Moya ensured that the Tennis Masters Cup will have a distinctly Spanish flavor by defeating Andre Agassi, 6-4, 6-4, at the BNP Paribas Masters on Friday. Moya became the third Spaniard, along with Juan Carlos Ferrero and Albert Costa, to qualify for Shanghai.

Also in action on a blockbuster quarterfinal day in Paris are Lleyton Hewitt, Roger Federer, Andy Roddick and Paradorn Srichaphan. Marat Safin has advanced, and will play Moya.

Andy is out, with Paradorn winning today.

But his spot in the top ten for the end of the year is pretty much guarenteed, unless Haas plays some rinky dinky tournaments and goes on a rip, AND Costa goes on a rip at the masters.

So, he's safe in the top ten.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

He lost, so there's no use to discuss what he has to do to qualify.

But I'm so happy that he finishes top ten this year!! Congratulations, Andy!
