Madrid rd1: Stepanek df Tomic 6-3 6-2

Old school still beats the future of tennis, lets see how long these guys can hang in there to teach these youngsters a lesson.

All things are subject to interpretation whichever interpretation prevails at a given time is a function of power and not truth.

Expected. Tomic cannot be bothered much with these MM events. He's peaking for Wimbledon

I can' see Tomic will ever have success on clay.
As for Stepanek: Still convincing.

Mug organisers of mug tournament insulted B-Nard by making him play on Sunday (a day for qualifiers). He was never going to give a shit after that.

Bernard Tomic doesn't play 1st round matches on sunday. Sundays are reserved for relaxing after tough parties and driving around with good cars.

His preparations for defending the 2014 Sydney title must take precedence over the remainder of the season.

14 years the difference. Crazy.

What're the biggest differences in ages 2000+? Pozzi - Ferrer and Agassi - Nadal/Gasquet are amongst the biggest age differences in recent times I can think of.

My god, Tomic having another season ala 2012 ( bar his Sydney title) . Good for Stepanek though, great to see he can still win at M-1000 level

How about Muster vs. Thiem

Muster was 44 and Thiem was 18. That's a 26 year difference
