Stan is the man. Growing up in Federer's shadow must've been tough for him, espesicially whilst his fellow country man was getting all the media love and attention. Stan must have been a little jealous and mentally weakened by the fact Fed was so good.
It's not to late for Stan, he is in his late 20's and could still have a dream run in his twighlight years. Great for him to win this great for his confidence after his loss to Djoko King.
