Just what I said in the WWW thread. Dull playing a serve bot in the semis in clay and his slave in the final. This tournament is event worse than Mickey Carlo. Utter garbage.

No, just expect the next big thing to get more than 4 games.

Yes.

Why is a 22 year old getting tired in a 3 set match?

Embarrassing.

Murray only got five games as a 21 year old vs. Nadal on clay and has had his clock cleaned by him three more times since then on the surface. I guess Milos is right on track for greatness, then.

LOL... Monaco-Nadal bagel streak continues...
Check the poll in the WWW thread. MTF got this one right.

Nadal neutralized Raonic's serve, had good depth and consistency on his groundstrokes and easily passed the Canadian repeatedly. And he didn't take his foot off the pedal in the second just like yesterday against Ramos. Very solid win for Nadal.

Raonic meanwhile looked like Roddick 2.0. He MUST work on properly setting up and executing his net game or he'll never amount to anything. He has decent movement for a servebot, so I still have hope for the guy.

Agassi | Nadal
Almagro | Coria | Ferrer | Haas | Nalbandian | Nishikori | Robredo | Wawrinka
Bautista Agut | Bellucci | Blake | Dimitrov | Dodig | Ferrero | Fognini | Gasquet | Hewitt | Kohlschreiber | Murray | Raonic | Rosol | Seppi | Tsonga | Tursunov | Verdasco

I don't know, but it might be the fact that he had to play two matches yesterday on slow, wet clay, one a particularly grueling one against Robredo. Also could have something to do with the fact that Nadal was moving him around the court and playing fantastic defense in a way that we haven't seen him do in nearly a year.

King of Clay.

His final streak continues. Did he outace Raonic as well?
haha. This is a guy who got almost bageled by Nole last week on clay. What a joke. Beating clay bums like Raonic even 6-0 6-0 won't make him king of clay. Rafa will surrender his RG title to Nole this year and then it is golfing with Lindsay Vonn and Tiger Woods.

Lol at you comparing 2013 Nadal to 2008 Nadal. Also aside from that match, all there other clay matches have been pretty competitive. Anyway this isn't about Murray, he has proved himself many times to be one of the very best.

A lot of immature comments on this thread, Milos Raonic is the best Canadian tennis player EVER.

What did people expect? Geesh, the kid is only 22 years old, clay is his WORST surface, he tried his best and he lost.

There is no shame in losing to Nadal on clay so I don't understand the crude comments.

The Canadian people we are very proud of him. He did well to back up his semifinal result from Barcelona of last year this kid can play on clay.

What Milos needs to LEARN from this match and I acknowledge is, in order to beat the great players like Nadal especially on clay he's going to need more than just the serve.

Nadal returned Milos serve very well, the commentators said, Milos needed to vary his serve more especially the first serve.

Milos backhand needs improvement, Nadal exposed his backhand big time in this match.

He kept on running around the backhand to hit forehands, but the problem is it exposes his movement. He needs to improve the backhand that's the key for him.

And he also needs to work on his volleying it was very predictable to volley into the open court. Nadal just chased the ball down and passed him. Instead, he needs to volley smarter.

The good thing is Milos is a smart kid, he's got a good coach he will watch the tape and he is improving. Last year around this time Milos was ranked in the 20s this year he's number 13 in the world. He defended his points and he's going to get BETTER.

Milos is not a robot the kid played a 2 and a half hour match with Robredo and he also won a first match against Gulbis it is a lot of tennis. Nadal had Raonic running around the court he did get tired. It is not an excuse. Nadal played better obviously since he won the match.

Was Raonic the only one to play two matches yesterday then?

Except on clay, where Murray gets destroyed by players of Nadal's quality every time (which should really be the theme of this thread, Nadal's exceptional play on clay, not the trolling of a young player who played quite well this week to even make the Barcelona SF).

That's what I said. Rafa's best chance of winning any major is competing with Tiger Woods, Lindsay Vonn, and Mr. Wozniacki.
