Aside from Berdych, none of those have achieved anything at a Slam worth talking about which backs up my point.

Since being in the top 20, how many of those were ahead of him Singularity?

I haven't read all posts in this thread, so i don't know, if this wasn't mentioned.

With this win, Nadal leveled Bjorn Borg with 608 wins and tomorrow has chances to reach Yevgeni Kafelnikov with 609 wins. Hope I remember it right

They're top 10 - 15 players for the most part. Those are the players he needed to beat to get into the top 20. I think Cilic is the only one he's beaten since then, but mostly he hasn't faced players ranked above him.

The next step would be to get some more top 10 wins. He's had several in regular ATP events, so I don't think this is impossible if he keeps improving.

Why is that?

not even close, did you watch this match or the Monte Carlo final? Nadal was abysmal in the MC final, his UE count insane. that said Novak had a lights out first set in that match. really though in this match vs. Raonic he played insanely better than MC, I have heard that he's focusing to improve his fitness in the coming weeks and is getting more and more serious probably because his loss in MC came as a shock
I understand saying Djokovic is now a big threat on clay but to say something like Nadal played as well in Monte Carlo as he did today? that is purely delusional. Nadal is playing much better now and that's not surprising, he typically, whether it be tournament or season, takes a bit to get going
Europe clay is a lot different than SA after all

Nadal routined Berdych in Indian Wells, his first HC tournament back in a year.
considering the facts that A: typically Nadal is way better on clay than hard and B: typically Berdych is way better on hard than clay, I think it's safe to assume that Rafael has nothing to fear facing Tomas on clay this season
Del Potro maybe, but anyone has to watch out for him

uhhh
I hate to break it to you but this is not exactly true, it is sort of an illusion that Monte Carlo suits Nadal's game perfectly, in fact I might argue that ROland Garros is preferable
his balls were not getting very great spin at all all of MC week, fact

of course no point in arguing with you..........Nadal sucked in MC final that's why he lost today he was in god mode against the known Clay god Raonic whos ground game is 5x better than Novak's........

Nadal is angry.

Tomic [tom-ic] [tom-ic-ing]
verb
1. apply yourself for a small period of time before giving up. (I am tomicing this match).
noun
2. play exceedingly well for a month and then give fallacious promises to the world. (He performed a Tomic)
