Nadal is beatable.even on clay. Djokovic was not "lucky".

Dull should win this comfortably...What is a servebot doing in a clay semi?

Rafa to stand a mile behind the baseline and getting a racquet on every ball. Rafa in 2, something like 6:4 6:3.

It's just the usual slump after losing to Nole. When that happens his game is affected across all surfaces. Still, despite some ugly moments, he's winning matches after that loss so that's all he can do right about now. As long as he's making progress, I am cool with it.

No, Nole was not lucky. He played a great match and deserved to win.

That's why he must win Barcelona and get that confidence back. But he is still far, far from his good clay form!

RAFAEL NADAL and GRIGOR DIMITROV

Rafa winning at least one slam in 10 consecutive years is the best achievement in Open Era tennis since Laver won all 4 Grand slam tournaments in the same year!

I want Raonic to rise, he needs a confidence booster.

Mark Lenders banged your girlfriend, I'm sorry to tell you that mate.

To be honest, it was kind of expected that he would lose to Nole in MC. He probably needs a bit more time to adjust against the top players.

Well yes, winning Barcelona should be his top priority at the moment. Given the current field, he should be able to take it no worries. It would serve him as a good platform for him heading into Madrid. Yes his form isn't up to scratch but I'm not thinking of his progress in that way. I think of it as simply one match at a time, and regardless of how he wins, he's winning at least. Overall, he's had a pretty decent comeback. He's been making finals so far, so at least he's doing something right.

How? It's not like Nole was terrible during the latter stages of MC, and meanwhile Nadal was struggling against Dimitrov and Tsonga (to an extent).

Who said Djokovic was lucky? Djokovic thoroughly deserved his win in MC. He brought his top game for the whole match, Nadal only really did what he had to during the second set, and even there he fell apart when it mattered. I've seen very few posters on here not giving Djokovic the credit he deserved.

And regarding Nadal's Euro form compared to Indian Wells, I think he's playing down to his opponents' levels. He knows he doesn't have to push himself to win on this surface against most guys and he's probably scared shitless about his conditioning. That and his seeming inability to maintain focus going into the second set have led to his relatively close scorelines in Europe. I thought his second set against Ramos was promising in this area though. He seemed to take his massive lead as an opportunity to open things up and practice taking risks rather than just coast and rest his body.

Agassi | Nadal
Almagro | Coria | Ferrer | Haas | Nalbandian | Nishikori | Robredo | Wawrinka
Bautista Agut | Bellucci | Blake | Dimitrov | Dodig | Ferrero | Fognini | Gasquet | Hewitt | Kohlschreiber | Murray | Raonic | Rosol | Seppi | Tsonga | Tursunov | Verdasco

Re: Barcelona SF: (2) Nadal vs (5) Raonic

its funny that now people are claiming they expected nadal to loose to djokovic at monte carlo when in fact after indian wells people were making crazy predictions for nadal, and no nadal is not at 100 percent but hes not that far off its only points here and there. one thing that has changed is that nadal is missing a lot more shots now than pre injury that should improve with time. i dont want to write nadal off but mabye the 7 months off will only show in big matches against top players. so he may go slamless this year as he is not quite there mentally yet.

Woohoo, look who's back from the ban Don't you get tired of trolling? It was funny at the beginning, now it is just sad.

I, too, don't think that Nole's victory at MC comes as a big surprise.

Considering he was in exactly the same SF last year, it might be that he's good on clay.
