Murray had a very strong career despite having no Slams, winning like almost 10 Masters and reaching several Slam finals. It has nothing to do with this situation.

It wouldn't have been credible at all. DelPo > Berdych.

It eclipses anything Ferrer has done in his entire career.

Lenders is expecting to be taken seriously but in reality he's just another biased fanboy... his empty argument is based not on facts and current results but on personal preference. Yes you're a delpotard, everyone knows it and no one gives a shit. Stop creating crap threads.

Do you ever make any non ad hominem arguments? Don't worry, it's a rhetorical question.

Fully agree with Joey by the way, ridiculous how some people who argued Del Potro was better than Murray before the Scot won a Slam are now defending Ferrer here. Murray had tons of Masters titles, Slam finals, etc... Ferrer has 1 Masters... won against Llodra and Janowicz, just shows how MTF can't be rational when it comes to Ferrer.

No way that vulture is better player than Del potro
It's not just about results, vuluturing etc, it's about SKILLS
The only better technical element which he has is his return.

He is limited and he shows his limited game every time he faced top player.
ATP is assholes with their politic, rankings and seeding system. Ferrer is THE WORST NUMBER 4 ever due to TENNIS which he shows.

Strong era, when less talented player in top-50 is number 4.

Del Potro has not play a Grand Slam semifinal since 2009, so he can't be better than Ferrer, Tsonga and Berdych.

Ferrer beat both Djokovic and Murray at WTF 2011.

You know, this really makes me giggle. Claiming Del Potro is the true #5 and that Ferrer's limited game is exposed every time he faces a top player. You see where I'm going with this? No? Check their H2H.

They shoot themselves in the foot every time they begin to type.

It's incredibly funny to watch.

As much as Del Potro played great at IW, people are kind of overrating his performance a lot. Have you seen Murray's IW record? Or how Djokovic was being toyed with by both Fognini and Dimitrov (before his choke) or was easily defeated by Haas the next tournament?

I don't think anybody is saying Ferrer's career is better than Del Potro, except Federer in 2 who just can't be taken seriously, they're saying that Ferrer ATM is better, which is understandable. I still think Del Potro is better NOW, last year Ferrer was the better player but this year not. Yes, he has arguably better results but JDMP showed a higher level imo. We'll see who ends having a better season.

Nadal is more limited than Djokovic and Fed, and has positive H2H
Murray is more limited than than Federer, but also leading H2H.

I'm not a big fan of potro, but he is better tennis player and worse athlete or proffesonal., maybe

Ferrer is very lucky with his health. He had never faced serious injury with his disgusting gamestyle. Do you really think that Del Potro won't reach GS s\f if he will meet Gasquet on 4r and Tipsa on q\f or Almagro in q\f or Murray on clay?

Precisely. Sometimes I wonder whether some on here just look at the rankings every Monday or actually watch the tennis being played on court.

The most ironic thing about this thread is that the people defending Ferrer based on H2H are mostly Fedtards who claim it doesn't matter when it comes to Federer and Nadal Ridiculous how some still can't get over the USO 2009 final, I know it stopped Fed from holding all 4 Slams at once and being the first to win a Slam six years in a row -but it was almost 4 years ago and Federer has 17 Slams and plenty other records and is probably the best tennis player ever, it's time to let it go.

MTF games titles:
