Re: Federer to win a slam this year.

Nobody knows what his form will be like when he returns. After Cincinnati 2011, did anyone think he'd finish the year undefeated after USO? I'm betting on him coming back fresher and better and doing well the next 3 months and then well during the summer season.

Re: Federer to win a slam this year.

Fed lost the QF of WImbly 2011 to on fire Tsonga and everyone thought he was done on the surface. Sound familiar? Losing to on fire Berdych at the USO QF last year and everyone saying he has no chance for example. I think he has a great chance at the USO and a pretty decent chance at Wimby, obviously he would have a good chance at RG if Nadull draws Fakervic in the SF, but we know the odds of that are about as far from 50/50 as flipping a weighted coin.

Re: Federer to win a slam this year.

Wimbledon champions

prior to 2003 people other then Federer, Federer was either too young or did not exist

2003 Federer
2004 Federer
2005 Federer
2006 Federer
2007 Federer
2008 someone else, FED was still recovering from mono
2009 Federer
2010 someone else, Fed could not sleep with noisy 1 year old twins
2011 Someone else, Fed could not sleep with noisy two year olds.
2012 Federer (his girls are not keeping him awake)

2013 Federer

When fed does not have mono and has his sleep he is unbeatable at wimbledon. Also has a chance at the other two.

Federer: Future number one.

Fed vs Rafa

Wimbledon: 7-2
U.s open: 5-2
AO: 4-1
FO 1-9
WTF: 6-0
Weeks at number one: 302-140(about)

Really no contest

This, right here, is the best post ever in MTF history.

Re: Federer to win a slam this year.

I think he is still the favourite for Wimbledon and he is allways with a chance at any tournament. He is the GOAT, on a good day he can still beat anyone, anywhere.

But no athlete had the year Novak Djokovic had. No athlete was as consistently superb, January through November. No athlete was as complete in all the aspects of his or her game (...) the best on all surfaces: indoors and out, hardcourt, clay, and grass. No athlete, week in and week out, faced the level of competition he did: men’s professional tennis, as gets said at the start of every big televised match—because it’s true—is in a golden age. (...) And while Federer had some year (2006), he accumulated only about half the A.T.P. point total Djokovic just amassed.

I don't think he will win Wimby. I have a feeling this will be Murray's year.

Re: Federer to win a slam this year.

Never discount Federer. He might be declining/have declined, but at his best he's still way better than the rest of the field bar Nadal on clay. I don't think Federer is winning a Slam this year, but I wouldn't exclude the possibility either - all it takes is for him to catch fire for a few matches (and avoid Nadal probably). Only a fool would write off Federer.

MTF games titles:

Suicide Tennis (5): Wimbledon 2014, World Tour Finals 2015, Madrid 2015, Kuala Lumpur 2014 and Metz 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 WTF, 1 Masters 1000, 2 ATP 250; 2 finals lost

Fill-in-the-Draw (3): US Open 2014, Rotterdam 2013 and Geneva 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 ATP 500 and 1 ATP 250

Tennis Tipping (3): Veneza and Todi 2014 (with vn01), Knoxville 2015 (with Redkop) - 3 challengers; 7 finals lost

Worst thing I've ever read on mtf, srsly

Hewitt reach the us open final without dropping a set, playing his best he got double bagled

Nadals peak level was beating federer who had already given up the rg final, it was mono fed playing awful.

Nadal has no potential, soderling proved that at rg
Roost proved that at Wimbledon
Tsonga proved that at ago
Del Porto proved that at the us open

God is Love. To know Love is to know God. So ask yourself if you hold any hate for another in your heart how can you have room for Love, room for God

Hilarious how dulltards' claim to fame is still dull bageling monoFed in the FO final. As if they just can't put 1 and 1 together and ask why the scoreline was so different that year than in any other of their RG meetings

The USO courts are too fast for the old man to be a viable threat as a big hitter will take him out/deplete all his energy in the QF's.

That and the other 18 times Rafa smashed Missy. Being a fan of a little crying bitch is taking its toll on the Fedturds

RAFAEL NADAL and GRIGOR DIMITROV

Rafa winning at least one slam in 10 consecutive years is the best achievement in Open Era tennis since Laver won all 4 Grand slam tournaments in the same year!

Don't ever underestimate the heart of a champion!
