What's your opinion?
Yeah, clay would probably give you guys an edge although I haven't seen much of Jerzy on the dirt. I think Kubot made the 4th round of RG a couple years back as well? F&M are pretty good on all surfaces. And yeah, Rusty and B-Nard will be hoping it's not clay so there lies your answer really...

Life is an orange and you're just a little pip.

Interesting that none of the ties went to a 5th rubber, 3 of them were over by Saturday and all went on to finish 5-0. The other 5 were all clinched by a 4th rubber victory.

In saying that, I think several of the matches could go the opposite way based on a single rubber. If Croatia win the doubles or Cilic beats Murray then I think Dodig can beat Evans in the decider. If Germany don't pick grass then I think Brazil might win rubbers 2, 3 and 4 to win that tie. Australia have a chance to win rubber 3 or 4 against Poland, but then again I think Kubot would win the final rubber anyway. Belgium v Israel is wide open.

No way. Sijsling will win his singles, and the doubles will go to the Dutch as well.

Grass would be the smartest choice for the Germans, but I think the players will vote for indoor hard because that's what they will be playing on in the following weeks.

There is no way that Evans will get picked ahead of Ward if it is played on clay. He has only played 1 match on the dirt in the last three years, a first round futures defeat to a guy ranked 729.

It's not like it would make any difference anyway

Poland announced yesterday that the match will be played on clay. It is still unknown wheather the match will be indoors or outdoors.

It's official meanwhile that Roger won't play.
