WWW DC QF: Argentina vs. France

Announced OOP:

Friday:
C. BERLOCQ vs. J. TSONGA
J. MONACO vs. G. SIMON

Saturday:
D. NALBANDIAN/H. ZEBALLOS vs. J. BENNETEAU/M. LLODRA

Sunday:
J. MONACO vs. J. TSONGA
C. BERLOCQ vs. G. SIMON

Tsonga is such a clay clown that it's hard to say how he'll play. Given Berlocq's generousity and how horrible Monaco has been this season, Jo should be able to win both his matches easily. But on clay, he's beatable for both Berlocq and especially for Monaco. Simon should also be able to win both his matches, he isn't as dangerous as peak Tsonga but neither he is such a clay clown. Double's match should be France's I think. Still, both Nalby and Zeballos have some nice doubles wins from DC but Benny/Llodra should be the better doubles team.

Also, I wonder if there will be substitutions in Argentina's team for Sunday. Monaco has been awful this year, if he loses today, I'd replace him on Sunday. Zeballos and Nalbandian have had the best results this year, title for Horacio and final for Nalby, but they've done little besides it.

My opinion is France should win this. They may lose one or two rubbers, but the Frenchmen are clowing and Argentineas GOATing if Argentina wins this.

If we don't win it when Del Potro is not here and when Argentina has to play Berlocq and Monaco as main players, then shame on us.

The crowd could have a huge influence. I'm not too confident given Tsonga's and Simon's form, but I wouldn't bet against France either.

If I was French, I'd have more confidence in Simon. Tsonga gets upset easily and he has never played against such an adverse crowd before.

If Del Potro was playing then Argentina would have a far better chance, but he isn't so i'm going with France.

Yup. Monaco shouldn't win a match unless by retirement. Berlocq as #2 guy actually has better chance to steal one (or by some miracle 2) singles. But France's dubs should win as well. So, France & probably not that close.
