agreed, the odds are low that Nadal defends all clay titles. I could see him MAYBE still holding onto MC (no surface/tournament is more comfortable for him), Barcelona (if he indeed ends up playing), and Roland Garros, but would be shocked if he also defended Rome

I think he'll skip Madrid and POSSIBLY Barcelona, because while he said he will play more on clay than hard court, I think he still is going to try to keep a very light schedule if/when possible

also Roland Garros could be incredibly tricky with Nadal likely ending up with a challenging draw, who knows he could get more tired out than normal and get into a tricky spot in SF/F after a potential grueling quarter

Federer does not have a huge amount to defend, Nadal's chances of breaking into top 4 or 3 or better will have to wait for his results in the American hard court summer

<3 Roger Federer <3 David Ferrer <3 Juan Martin Del Potro <3 Ernest Gulbis <3

------------------------ <3 Richard Gasquet <3

Ferrer has a HUGE chance to overvulture Noserer at ranks in July or August and even reach top-3

Ferrer isn't passing Roger. Fed can gain a lot of points from Montreal and the USO.

Re: Top 4 and Ferrer Rankings +/- clay points

One of the biggest things about this is the seeding for Wimbledon. Without his clay points, Rafa would be seeded 21st if the Wimbledon rankings were to be done now (excluding his 75% of his 1,200 2011 wimbledon points however)

Even if he makes semis at Montreal he's still gaining points from the 0 he had last year.

Re: Top 4 and Ferrer Rankings +/- clay points

If Ferrer overtakes Federer in ranking then the tennis is really dead. Why Ferrer gets to SF in GSs now because of the stupid draw ,How many times did he get Del Potro,Tsonga or Berdych in QF - zero times . He always get Tipsarevic and at FO he got Murray . If Ferrer was so great as a player he should have more MS i like him as a person but i do not like his game.

He trashed Del Potro 6-2 6-2 6-3 at Wimbledon, remember? It doesn't matter, he beats them all.

It should be easier to read now.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
