Well, it's definitely not at its usual level and his timing is off. Querrey's unforced errors might save him.

I don't really blame them but it's so sickening to see the fans cheering for Querrey as if this would have been competitive without the injury.

American fans cheering for Querrey does not indicate that they believe the match would have been competitive without the injury. It merely indicates that Querrey is playing for their country and therefore they want him to win.

Don't be fooled. Querrey is still the underdog against injured Djokovic.

Pretty sure I acknowledged I was being irrational. Thanks for setting me straight though.

lol are you serious?

They're cheering for Querrey because they want the USA to win.

Sure the injury may give them more life but it's not like you expect them to say "oh Nole is injured, I'll just stop cheering now" do you?

People tend to cheer more when the feel they have a better chance

I sprained my ankle a month ago playing tennis. It's hilarious how immediately after the injury I was able to run and everything. Next day, I could barely walk

Re: 2013 Live Commentary

Bryan sisters cost us this match. When Querrey beat Troicki, I was sure the US. was going to win. But this team is awful. Serbia should have won 5 to love. lol.

Re: 2013 Live Commentary

This reminds me of a match vs Davydenko in DC few years ago when Novak was injured, won 2 sets and when davydenko won the 3rd, Novak retired leading 2-1. And as much as I like Querrey, he doesn't deserve to join the group of players who beat Djokovic in Dc (not counting 2 loses vs Belgium when he was 17 y-o): Nadal, Federer, Delpo (ret.), Devydenko (ret.) and Ferrer.

Djokovic | Tipsarevic | Querrey
