Entertaining match.

Blake's level was good but he choked on the big points...blew 3 set points in the first set TB.

Jo's BH looks decent. Body language is different, firing himself up in English instead of talking to himself in French. Is that Rasheed's doing?

Andy Murray

Tsonga, Wawrinka, Zverev, Sock, Thiem, Muller, Kyrgios, Stepanek

From watching parts of this match, I got the impression that these guys dont like each other that much. It even looked to me that at the end that Blake sort of insisted on the "traditional" hand shake, Lendl-Mcenroe style. Is there something up with these guys?

Blake movement was very good in the first set, one of the best matches I've seen this year.

The first few games were amazing.
Such a refreshing change from all these ubiquitous pushing and grinding matches these days.

Re: Indian Wells R2: Tsonga blasts Blake 7-6 6-4

Blake played a good level for a 34 year old, first set especially, he just didn't convert on the big points. Good win for Jo though

Re: Indian Wells R2: Tsonga blasts Blake 7-6 6-4

Blake was 4-2 up in first set, then in TB was ahead *6-3 but lost 5 points in a row. Tsonga went for huge return on first set point which barely hit the line. I can't get over it. He should have won first set and then who knows what would happen. I hope he will get WC to Miami as well and build up his ranking a little bit. That was for sure best match from Blake in year or two. Keep it up James!

Federer
Blake, Tsonga, Gasquet, Santoro, Almagro, Llodra, Brands, Kohlschreiber, Mahut
Janowicz, Kubot, Przysiezny

Best match at IW to date. JB so close but yet so many positives to take at such a ripe age
