Nole's quarter of the draw is the worst possible place for such ambitions though. Still, if he gets to QF - he should beat Fish, but Cilic/Raonic will surely be tricky opponents - he's in with a chance vs Novak for sure, albeit as a clear underdog. I liked what I saw from Tsonga, his BH seems more stable and his body language is quite positive. This was a great match, Blake really turned back the clock for this one - first set is one of the best sets of tennis you'll see all year, incredible tennis especially in the first few games.

MTF games titles:

Suicide Tennis (5): Wimbledon 2014, World Tour Finals 2015, Madrid 2015, Kuala Lumpur 2014 and Metz 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 WTF, 1 Masters 1000, 2 ATP 250; 2 finals lost

Fill-in-the-Draw (3): US Open 2014, Rotterdam 2013 and Geneva 2015 - 1 Slam, 1 ATP 500 and 1 ATP 250

Tennis Tipping (3): Veneza and Todi 2014 (with vn01), Knoxville 2015 (with Redkop) - 3 challengers; 7 finals lost

Yeah of course, but QF minimum for me. I don't li8ke to have too high expectations because i get disapointed too often

This was a good match, Blake looked better than he has in a long time.

Good to see the fire in Blake, I thought he would go down easily.

From watching highlights, it seemed like Tsonga was very intense. He looked like he was pissed off

I'd like to know as well

Outside the Americans and Federer, no one seems to care for Blake I've noticed

Great match! Offensive and beautiful tennis.
Still, a lot of UEs from both, Tsonga needs to fix that if he wants to defeat the big names again.
He can play really good, come on Jo...

Fergus Murphy was the real winner on the night.

He's a national treasure.

Ya he was cool-headed as usual. Not quite sure why Blake was even arguing with him, but Fergus just doing his job like a pro.

Blake has shown us time and time again he's not done. All the shots are still there, it's just his movement has declined so much as expected.

But I don't think it's time to retire just yet, he still puts in great matches and is currently top 100. Realistically if he can just play a few more good matches he can definitely get back in the top 60 perhaps.
