Peak Ferrero, post-peak Moya, Costa (profited from the era), Gaudio (same), Nalbandian (worst surface), Davydenko only in 2005, pre-peak Federer and pre-peak Nadal (both who he wasn't able to beat). He would've been in EXACTLY the same situation as Ferrer would he have played now, while Ferrer would probably have picked up a slam had he peaked at the same time as Coria.

Roddick and Hewitt were in the top 3, not able to do anything on clay! Ferrer has peak Djokovic, Federer and Nadal in the top 3! Plus Ferrer is far superior to Coria outside of clay.

Only ignorant Nole/Nadaltards think so, mostly because they were 7 years old in 2004. Their agenda is to diminish Federer's accomplishments to make their respective favorite look better than he is.

In reality, today's era has probably less depth than the 2004 one.

Yeppers. The top 15 field in 2004 was better than this one IMO barring the success of the top 4.

Coria went toe to toe with Nadal on clay

Had a 40 match wining streak on the surface, won 2 M1000, reached another few finals and reached a RG final. Ferrero and Moya were fantastic players on clay, Moya wasn't post peak, he was hell of a player until well into his 30's. Clay may be Nalbandian's worst surface, but he made 2 RG SF and Rome final apart from wining some titles on the surface (not a worse career on the surface than Ferrer actually). He was a great claycourter.

Maybe if you see reaching a slam final as a holy entity that makes every other result irrelevant. Otherwise I don't see how you can rate guys like them above Ferrer. For example: Tsonga has 8 out of his 10 titles in 250 events while Berdych doesn't even have a positive record in finals of them, Coria has only won one title and didn't make a single GS SF outside of clay, etc.

Coria was far better than this Ferrer.

His pro career only last 5 years, then he collapsed, retired from tennis two times the first one in 2006.

In those 5 years he won 4 250, 2 500 and 2 M1000. RG runner-up and highest ranking #3... only in 5 years Coria achieved more than Ferrer in his entire career.

Obviously still pressed by the fact that Ferrer has masters and Del Shitro can't win one regardless of the draw. Del Fluktro would be a MM vulture as well if Nadal was healthy and Noserer didn't choke in USO

Scoreboard journalism. But I wouldn't expect any objectivity from an Argentinian.

Coria peaked in a transitional era, while Ferrer played the GOAT, clay GOAT and Djokovic.
