No doubt Agassi would be number 1.

Is this even up to debate?
No, he wouldn't. 5th place at best. Next

Re: Prime Agassi would be No.1 today.

Agassi was a superior version of Davydenko, who seemed to be holding his own in this era before injury took its toll. Add in the fact that his best surface was the kind of slow hard court that now proliferates, & No. 1 doesn't seem a big stretch.

He would be #1 and have 10+ slams.

Agassi was rarely consistent over an entire year plus clearly not as good a player as Djokovic. I think he could have given Murray some competition for the no 2 spot.

I'd love to see Nadal wining Wimbledon in a lightning fast grass beating Becker, Ivanisevic and McEnroe. Beating Berdych in a slam final in green clay underlined the weak era in which he played.

Well said. Nadal would never get to Wimbledon SF in 90s.

Re: Prime Agassi would be No.1 today.

Prime Agassi happened after Brad Gilbert tamed his wild game and Gil Reyes got him fit. If he were playing at his prime today he'd likely be number two behind Djokovic. I hate to admit that Novak is a better player than Andre but I've witnessed all the important matches of both players and that's the way I see it.

Djokovic has something Agassi has never had, a defense.

Agassi for me has more attacking firepower though so that cancels it out.
