I take some pleasure in waiting for Djokovic, Federer, or hell, even Ferrer to play Nadal on clay

I take back the biggest choke I've seen in 2/3 comment, remembered Almagro-Nadal.

I'd say Rafa barely survived in this match. Berlocq broke him in the third set but wasn't able to close it out, kinda feel bad for him. Rafa still looks very shaky and beatable.

Sure, that would mean Nole would have to choke, because Rafa didn't rise to any occasion tonight.

Would be a sad state of affairs for tennis if Nadal could waltz back onto the tour after 8 months beat the #1.

Re: San Pablo QF: Nadal def. Berlocq 3-6 6-4 6-4

Terrible match. Positives for Nadal - he still seems to want to be out there fighting; makes some big points when he needs to and for all his woes will likely have made the finals in both of his first two tournaments. Clearly the court is terrible so he wasn't moving as usual and just tentative throughout. Going to wait till Acapulco to make a full assessment but for now time on court and the mental challenge of a three setter, having to come from a set down, isn't bad.

Crowd was awful - cheering Berlocq's double faults!

I have never understood why the crowd needs to cheer for the lower ranked player, maybe someone could inform me of why? Also, I doubt the crowd played any role in the result since Berlocq is a veteran, it's happened before to him. He is tougher mentally than that.

Disgusting rabid Rafatard fangirl crowd. No nationalism, just a clown crowd cheering DFs by Warlocq.

This has to be the most priceless combination of match quality, GOAT crowd and whining from Nadal haters/Warlocq tards of all time.

Guess the Bolelli vs Alund final is a lock now.

They could at least applaud his good play and not cheer for his double faults...

I understand nationalist DC crowds being like this but not a match like this
