Re: 2013 Live Commentary

Gulbis became incredibly frustrated and angry in the tiebreak. Part of it was that Harrison wouldn't go away and then there was a call that went against him. He got mad and threw his towel while muttering something about a fucking challenger and then said loudly "fuck this shit" as he threw his towel angrily. He talked back to the umpire and then just damn near tanked the tiebreak in his anger. Afterward he broke his racquet and flipped it to a twenty something guy with long hair who grabbed it and jumped around in delight with the racquet over his head.

Anyway, gulbis has done better since then

Re: 2013 Live Commentary

Looks like Gulbis decided to start trying in the 2nd set. Although, he just got broken again while serving out the 5-0 set.

They should really televise these matches. This is better than anything we'll get the next 2 weeks.

Ben Rothenberg ‏@BenRothenberg
Ernests Gulbis getting into it now with a heckler in this very pro-American crowd. But he wins the second 6-2. #BNPPO13

Re: 2013 Live Commentary

I was at the match. Gulbis was talking to the crowd, but it wasn't near me. I couldn't hear anything. Of course the crowd was pro Harrison, bu not obnoxiously so. In the third set when things got tight at the end, more people were cheering for gulbis. Gulbis looked angry as he left the court and he didn't hit balls to the crowd. People called out friendly things to h as he left but he Didn't respond. Christian looked very disappointed, but I was pressed with the way he competed until the very end. He looked very young out there. Younger than 17.

Re: 2013 Live Commentary

Out on 7 with Berankis and Pospisl where the Canadian in a nice green shirt and shoes is thrashing Berankis whic makes williamsshowing yesterday even more pathetic. I'm sitting by pospisil's coach who does not move a muscle except to utter a curt allez once. Now twice.

Pospisil's reminds me a bit of Berdych in the way he moves and his strokes.
