Bolelli has indeed come back seemingly to a level similar to his in 2008, and such a quick clay must indeed be good for him.
In the final Almagro or Bolelli can probably give problems to Nadal on such a quick clay.
He never lost the talent, you know? but he is a super fragile player mentally, unfortunately, and relies a lot on his confidence when playing. Finishing the year inside the top 50 is a very realistic goal and i'm very happy to hear him say he's in a very good state of mind currently.
People were expecting a lot from him back in '07-08 and considered to be the biggest hope by many (including myself) to see Italy, again, with a player that could hang in with the best and definitely well inside the top 20. Pressure and consecutive bad results kept hurting him but he's been constantly looking for changes in his team and never gave up, so it's awesome to see he is back on a very positive track. With plenty more experience and maturity, i'm sure he will be patient and build slowly on every success .
