Grigor's forehand lacks the reliability of some of the top guys but as a standalone shot, it is certainly up there as one of the best. Very few players have as much variety on the forehand as he does and that is what makes his so special. When he flattens it out, he hits it with a lot of pace but he's equally capable of generating huge amounts of topspin. It's the amount of work he puts on the ball and the ease with which he can change direction that is so impressive. His problem is that because he hits it low over the net, there isn't a lot of margin for error. It's an amazing shot but it needs to be a lot more consistent before it can be even be considered to be one of the best in the game.
btw, just because some of you disagree you don't have to call each other names etc. I understand that new fans from Bulgaria support and cheer their countryman Dimitrov (I like him btw), but saying stuff like 'his FH is top 5' etc. is just silly. Prime Kolya would easily spank Grisha ... take it easy guys
