good game, we have all seen weak games by GD, but this one was good, good form, let's hope next oponent self-destructs or is rusty, again

Dimi served well and hit some good winners, but to be honest... if this is his best level, I see nothing in him that indicates he can be a great force in the future. He tries to give a Federer like impression but he is much slower and doesn't have Roger's natural touch or forehand (or serve for that matter). Sorry Dimifans.
No matter what he does hater will hate. That is a given. Even if he wins a GS they will still be saying "yeah but you see Federer won such and such, Djocovich won such and such so therefor Grigor is overrated"

Are you talking out of your shithole? Dimitrov definitely has an amazing touch and surely his fh is top 5, he just needs one shot with it to end rallies. I got pissed off by him many times because of his chokes though, he better become more consistent and control his mind. Next round good chances to win.

Top 5 By all means, keep thinking that.

I don't hate Dimitrov. But as with any player, if his fanboys go too far, then I will probably slowly start to root against the guy. That has happened before. When he wins a GS? Right now there are at least 50 players like Dimitrov on tour, all I'm saying is don't get ahead of yourself.

Dimitrov will probably peak about 25-27. The age of which guys have their best results has got older and older lately due to the physical nature of the game.

But this is a good sign for him because I think the Grand Slam door will be easier for him to unlock then than if he peaked now. Same for B-Nard.

Another good victory for Dimitrov this week. Now faces another tough bone but not impossible to win it in order to reach SF (winner of Gasquet / Baghdatis)

I saw little but apparently Dimitrov played very well, good serve, playing deep, not too much angle ... and it helped that Davydenko had a bad period in the match.

useless old guy

First set was one of the greatest displays of tennis I've seen this year, too bad Davydenko turned into utter crap after that. Also the best I've ever seen Dimitrov play, a big step up from his first round match.

Some awesome tennis from Grigor tonight and that was easily the most entertaining match so far this week. That rally at 5-4 15-all was amazing. Grigor served like a beast and raised his game at the right moments to break Davydenko's serve. When Grigor plays like that, there's no-one better to watch.
