Re: Nadal: 'The ATP worries too little about the players'

They should take a few hard court and a few clay tournaments and make them play on grass. The current grass season is almost non existent but I guess that's not what Nadal had in mind when he was complaining about the hard courts.

Re: Nadal: 'The ATP worries too little about the players'

i think we should speak up the hardcourts and add more carpet and grass tournaments. that'll make rallies shorter and decrease the chance of injury. then, we can switch to the two year ranking system he's been pushing for. also, so that players don't get cold between points, maybe we go to 15 seconds?

my favorite was the worst number 3 player in the world

Maybe it's a promotional stunt for his new company, trying to show other athletes that he will look after their interests

Re: Nadal: 'The ATP worries too little about the players'

The unfortunate thing about adding grass tournaments prior to Wimbledon is the smarter players would smack down the lucky serve dependent, taller or big-boned but less intelligent Neanderthals. These lucky players lived off of opponents' cowardice, choking & unforced errors from aces, flat serves & 3 shot groundstroke bludgeoning. Lucky players wouldn't have kept a top 10 ranking based on Queen's Club, Halle and Wimbledon points alone.
Your darlings Federer & Roddick wouldn't
be hyped up as the greatest grass players of the last 15 years.

Don't think #5 is complaining about hard courts being slowed down. If they hadn't been he probably wouldn't have many hard court titles to his name. Not bother me a bit if the speed them up though.

Re: Nadal: 'The ATP worries too little about the players'

nadal should moan less and schedule better

he's finally played the south american clay swing for the first time since 2005. about time, mind you

and look the the results. he's rusty, yes, but that's a final and a win

he needs to drop one of indian wells and miami, and play doubles at neither of them

then, monto carlo, rome, RG, those are the 3 clay tournaments that matter

forget madrid, shit tournament. maybe play barcelona for the home fans

warm up for wimbledon (halle these days...), then wimbledon

then canada, cincy, US Open, no need to go all out, anything past QF is a bonus

skip shanghai, skip paris

go all out for that Year End Championship. needs it for the resume

there, season scheduled

now why can't he whine less, play less, and win what he does play?

Re: Nadal: 'The ATP worries too little about the players'

These Guys have just ample time to rest and recuperate in between the season. Just Look at Djokovic till now. Its 2 Months in the Season and he has hardly played a Handful of matches. The Top Guys have the luxury of choosing the Tournaments. Dont really know what are they complaining about.

Re: Nadal: 'The ATP worries too little about the players'

I think that the grass court season should be prolonged. There are not masters 1000 grass court tournaments and that is a shame. I think Nadal is right, less hard courts would be a good thing for the health of players. Have a third of the season on clay, third on grass, and a third on hardcourts.
