Re: Nadal: 'The ATP worries too little about the players'

Rafa's big injury breaks (in '09 and '12-'13) occured not after hard-court events but after the clay season, during he played pretty much every week. So why does he keep acting like he's getting injured on hard courts all the time?...

Re: Nadal: 'The ATP worries too little about the players'

yeah life is so tough for Rafito.

How about people doing heavy work from 9 to 5 every day lifting heavy, hopefully using their legs and KNEES and not their backs, yet get paid peanuts.

He makes all tennis players seem bad whining constantly. Tennis isn't even that injury plagued compared to many sports. Yet he acts like ATP is crippling players for life. Come on. If anything tennis has become softer getting more 3 set matches and people that tank/fix every other match. He himself also gets 1R byes and all kinds of perks that some of the old legends didn't get. Yet those old legends are walking around looking just fine.

Imagine that some people used to call Nadal a "SPARTAN" or "GLADIATOR" yet he's one of the softest guys around. Time to invent some new nickname...

Re: Nadal: 'The ATP worries too little about the players'

why is it only Nadal complaining about hard courts? and all because he's getting injured

as per usual he is only thinking about himself.

Re: Nadal: 'The ATP worries too little about the players'

Nadal is just getting the excuses in if he loses in Sao Paulo.
Quote:
"There are days in which it hurts and it limits me physically, but there are days when it's better," he said. "During the bad days it's complicated. But it's positive because a month ago maybe 80 percent of the days were bad, now it's 70 percent of the days and next week or within a month it will probably be 50 percent."
Will be a spartan effort if he manages to win this tournament if his knees are only working 50% of the time.

and this is a guy last week who said he didnt want to talk about his knees anymore

its sad that Rafa is using his comeback as a platform to whine about the ATP.

We should have a new thread for every sentence from Nadal's every post match presser. Vamos!

Re: Nadal: 'The ATP worries too little about the players'

in 2009 he spent his knees beating Verdasco and Fed to win Aussie Open and what did he do a week later? go and play in Rotterdam where he beat them up even more, did anyone make him play there?

altho Fed's Roland Garros title says hi

That was his biggest mistake so far. Can't believe mistakes like that gifted Federer an extra 2 to 3 slams, and especially the RG one

Yeah, one short time. His two really major injury breaks were from overplaying during the clay seasons of '09 and '12.

I've really missed these threads in the last couple of months. Feels like everything is back to normal.
